Glencroft is a family run British countrywear brand established in 1987 based in a 200 year old converted cow barn in Clapham in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It specialises in clothing and accessories made from natural materials, including British wool, Harris Tweed and sheepskin. Working with trusted British mills and manufacturers, the brand focuses on responsible sourcing, traditional craftsmanship and practical products made to last.

I had a lovely first visit to Bakewell and was so pleased to find The British Emporium. Jill and Georgie were both so friendly and welcoming, and made me and my dog feel completely at home from the moment we arrived.

It was especially lovely how welcoming they were towards my dog. She was made to feel like a very important guest, which really made the visit special for both of us! They were so kind and attentive, and it was clear that they genuinely love having dogs around.

Fantastic shop

We called in when we were staying in Over Haddon, and the lady in the shop was very friendly and chatty. We bought a few items in shop, but really liked the unusual coat hooks, as it suited us both very well.
