I had a lovely first visit to Bakewell and was so pleased to find The British Emporium. Jill and Georgie were both so friendly and welcoming, and made me and my dog feel completely at home from the moment we arrived.

It was especially lovely how welcoming they were towards my dog. She was made to feel like a very important guest, which really made the visit special for both of us! They were so kind and attentive, and it was clear that they genuinely love having dogs around.

I chanced upon The British Emporium whilst spending the weekend in Bakewell, Derbyshire. The staff in store were super friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable about their stock. I purchased a waxed cotton waterproof hat. Good looks and a great price.

Fantastic shop

We called in when we were staying in Over Haddon, and the lady in the shop was very friendly and chatty. We bought a few items in shop, but really liked the unusual coat hooks, as it suited us both very well. As soon as we got home, we ordered it online, and 3 days later, it was delivered, safe and sound.
